Stefanos Tsitsipas is the obvious favorite but the Russian plays fearless, aggressive tennis and is capable of beating anyone if the shots are falling his way. He was cruising over tournament dark horse Sebastian Korda in the Quarter-Finals when his opponent was forced to retire, and with this momentum that he has built will feel he has a real shot here. The Russian is now in his second consecutive Grand Slam Semi-Final, and will be hoping to reach his first Final. Karen Khachanov is the 18th seed here at the Australian Open, but his play has far exceeded that ranking. He was pushed to the limit by Jannik Sinner in the previous round before regrouping well, and when he is confident he does have the firepower to go all the way, and starts as the favorite over Karen Khachanov. In the Quarter-Finals he was dominant in his win over Jiri Lehecka, serving extremely well to close out the match in three sets. Having tasted some success here at this event before, he will have his eyes on reaching his second Grand Slam Final, and will have aspirations of claiming his first. Third seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas has been in ipressive form so far at this year’s Australian Open, and he is the player that has been anointed “most likely to challenge Novak Djokovic” for the title. The match will be played on Thursday January 26th, 2023. Stefanos Tsitsipas will meet Karen Khachanov in the Semi-Finals of the 2023 Australian Open. The Line: Stefanos Tsitsipas -250 / Karen Khachanov +175
